Outboard MotorsWe are a Canadian outfitter and usually sell our motors after we have used them a while, in order to keep our fleet fairly new.Our motors are all soldWe will post any others that become available in the future.Save $50.00 if you pay with cash, certified check or bankdraft instead of PayPal. Shipping within Canada is additional. If you will let us know your postal code, we will tell you the cost of shipping by Purolator. Shipping to the U.S.A. is unfortunately not cost effective because of U.S. hazardous goods regulations that apply to used internal combustion engines. But you can bring a motor across the border yourself if you pick it up or have it picked up by someone who is coming your way. Money conversion here Taxes. Residents of the U.S.A. do not have to pay tax. For Canadian residents we have to add GST and for Ontario residents RST as well. We guarantee each motor for 30 days to be free of mechanical defects and will refund your purchase price if you find the motor to have a problem and if you ship it back to us. This will give you time to check your motor. Propellers are in good condition ranging from near mint to showing signs of use. The lower unit gear case is always in good condition because we install a steel guard before a motor is put in service. The shrouds are in good condition but always have some scratches. We will not sell you a motor unless we are comfortable in our own mind that you will be happy with it. If you pick up your motor yourself, you can of course try it out before you buy it. We will sell only motors that are in good mechanical condition and run as well as a new one would. Our motors, while in use here, are equipped with a steel guard that protects the lower unit. The gear case will therefore be in good shape when you receive your motor. We also check the propeller seal and make sure that there is no water getting into the gear case. We then change the gear oil, grease all fittings and test run the motor before we ship it to you. |
Shipping Shipping within Canada is no problem. But we have not been able to find a carrier who will surface transport used outboard motors from Canada to the U.S.A. It has something to do with hazardous goods regulations. New motors yes, but not used ones. If you live in the United States, you can of course pick up your motor yourself or have it picked up by someone who is traveling back to the U.S.A. That is perfectly all right, since people take their own motors back and forth all the time. |
